Monerah Al-Dubayan, M.S., is a doctoral candidate in the Special Education program at the University of Maryland. She received her master’s degree in special education from Johns Hopkins University and her bachelor’s degree in special and elementary education from Purdue University. Her research interests include autism spectrum disorder, communication, challenging behavior, parent-implemented and culturally adapted interventions, and applied behavior analysis. Through her research, she hopes to empower and involve families in interventions to improve communication and understanding, while striving to support children with disabilities and their families to reach their full potential.
