PROFESSIONAL ETHICS

There are many daily decisions that the teacher intern must make that can not be governed by statements of policy, rule or law.  You will be called upon to make difficult decisions that must be governed by judgment which will hopefully be based upon a consideration of the ethics considered important to the professional educator.  For that reason we present here excerpts from three documents which are concerned with the ethics of the teaching profession.  They include The Code of Ethics of the National Education Association, The Code of Ethics of the National Council of Exceptional Children, and the Council of Exceptional Children's Policy on Physical Intervention.
