ABOUT THE HANDBOOK

This handbook has been developed by the College of Education to be used as a guide for mentor teachers, teacher interns, school administrators, field supervisors, PDS coordinators, and university faculty.

The sections of this handbook provide basic information related to the transition from theory to practice, the roles and responsibilities of the teacher intern, mentor teacher and university supervisor, and the policies and procedures that govern the student teaching experience.  Additional materials will be distributed throughout the internship as appropriate to the specific teacher education program.
