Dear (fill in name)
We’re in the business of teaching valuable work skills to students with disabilities, ages 18 to 21.
We are currently implementing an exciting new concept in work skill instruction- Community- Based Vocational Training. Community vocational training is simply a hands- on approach to showing students what real work at a real job site is all about.
Our program is looking for non-paying jobs in community businesses for our students who are in the early stages of training. We provide supervision and training at your business; you provide the opportunity for our students to succeed in a work experience.
In addition to non-paying jobs, we are developing paid sites as our students approach graduation. The goal of our program is to prepare our students for community integration and paid employment.
I hope you are interested in participating in a Community- Based- Vocational Training Program. Please take a few moments from your busy schedule to fill out the enclosed questionnaire. Even if you’re not interested, we would greatly appreciate your informed input. Responding with a completed questionnaire in no way commits you or your business to any involvement in our program.
Thank you very much for your help.
Sincerely,
Mary Pat Dye
