College of Education graduation ceremony set for May 23, 2008

University commencement ceremonies to be held May 22 at Comcast Center

COLLEGE PARK, MD (May 2008) – Over 280 students are scheduled to graduate from the College of Education on Friday, May 23, 2008, with degrees or certifications conferred by its seven departments. The graduates will join the ranks of the college's distinguished alumni comprised of educators, entrepreneurs, administrators, counselors and professionals. As of May 1, the breakdown for the spring 2008 degree candidates is 159 graduate students, 126 undergraduate students, and one Advanced Graduate Specialist (AGS) Certificate student.

Dean Donna Wiseman will preside over the college's spring commencement, which begins 3 p.m. in the Cole (Field House) Student Activities Building. Tickets are not required for the College of Education ceremony.
