College of Education to recognize outstanding honorees
at Annual Awards Ceremony, May 9
COLLEGE PARK, MD (May 2008) At its fifth Annual Awards Ceremony on May 9, the College of Education will pay tribute to eight outstanding faculty, staff, and students in recognition of their exceptional accomplishments, significant contributions, and years of committed service to the college. Dean Donna Wiseman and College Senate Chair Peter Leone will preside over the event, beginning 11 a.m. in 0220 Benjamin (lower level). A college-wide celebration luncheon will follow.
Nominations were submitted by the college community, with final selection of the award recipients conducted by the college’s Senate Awards Committee—chaired by Associate Professor Hanne Mawhinney, Department of Education Leadership, Higher Education and International Education. The 2008 honorees and award categories are:
