On Thursday, Dec. 22, Dean Edna Mora Szymanski will preside over the 235th commencement ceremony of the College of Education set for 2 p.m. in the Cole (Field House) Student Activities Building. Over 150 students will be conferred degrees or certifications from one of the college’s six departments. Individuals who completed their programs in August 2005 are also invited to the December commencement as no ceremony is held in August. To date, the students scheduled for graduation are:

Two students have been selected to address their fellow graduates: Brandon Jones, the undergraduate speaker, was also named Outstanding Student Teacher of the Year; Kristen Vogt of the Department of Counseling and Personnel Services will be the graduate speaker. The University of Maryland Commencement Ceremony will be held 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, in the Comcast Center. Tickets are not required to attend the ceremony. College of Education graduates should assemble by 5:45 p.m. in academic regalia (signs will indicate exact locations for each college to line up). The commencement speaker will be John E.
