The conference is supported by a small grant from the National Science Foundation and therefore there is no registration cost. However, the grant only allows us to accept about 100 participants. Please check our website though for conference materials.

The University of Maryland is conveniently located 15 minutes from Washington, DC and about 30 minutes outside of Baltimore.
This conference is funded in part through an NSF DR-K12 grant. The grant allows us to provide housing on Thursday night at the Inn and Conference Center for up to 40 persons. We cannot provide a room for attendees traveling less than 50 miles one way to the conference. Additionally, the grant does not allow us to subsidize travel to and from the conference, or to pay for housing on Wednesday or Friday nights should attendees decide to come early or stay an extra night in the area. The Inn and Conference Center will accept reservations for Wednesday night at the established conference rate, but at attendees' own expense.
If you've been accepted to the conference and informed that you qualify for housing, make your hotel reservations by FEBRUARY 25TH. After that date, we can't guarantee that housing will be available.
For those eligible for housing, please make your travel arrangements directly with the hotel. You will have to provide a credit card number to reserve your room. As long as you attend, your credit card will not be charged for the night of Thurs. March 29. However, if you are unable to attend and you do not cancel your reservation the hotel will charge your credit card directly. The cancellation policy is that you must cancel before 6pm the same day of arrival.

Area Airports - There are three local airports between 20-35 miles from the hotel: Baltimore/Washington International - BWI, Ronald Reagan Washington National - DCA, and Washington, DC Dulles International Airport - IAD. Please note the hotel does not have shuttle service.
Trains - Amtrak has service to New Carrollton, Maryland which is about 9 miles from the hotel. Union Station in Washington, DC is about 10 miles from the hotel.
Metro - The Washington, DC metropolitan area has an extensive metro and bus system. The Prince George's Plaza Metro stop on the green line is about 3 miles from the hotel. http://www.wmata.com/
