College Success Initiative (CSI)

The College Success Initiative (CSI) is designed to promote  college retention, persistence, and graduation by serving as a resource portal to underrepresented undergraduate (freshman and sophomore only) minority UMCP students, who are Pell Grant and/or Work Study eligible.

CSI is a network to success. It offers students workshops/trainings that support academic, career, and financial development. Some of the workshops/trainings offered include:

  • Goal Development and Attainment Skills
  • Resume Writing and Networking
  • Money Management
  • Budgeting

Students who are selected to participate in the program, and complete all program requirements, will be eligible to receive a $250 stipend/per semester.  If you are interested in applying, please complete the CSI Participant Application.

In addition to opportunities for freshman and sophomores, the College Success Initiative has opportunities for juniors, seniors, and graduate students.
