MIMAUE hosted an NSF-supported national conference "Helping Mathematics Teachers Become Culturally Relevant Educators: New Tools for a New Generation-Conference II" on Thursday, March 29 and Friday, March 30, 2012.

College Awareness and Career Exploration (CACE)

CACE provides a platform for students to make the connection between college attendance and career choice. Students participate in paid internships at corporations and companies within the local community, while participating in activities that provide them with skills and research opportunities. Culturally Relevant Pedagogy Teacher Professional Development Course

The Institute provides professional development for school staff on culturally relevant teaching and learning, with the aim of increasing student engagement and achievement. learn more
