Profile Dr. Saracho began her career in education by
teaching Head Start, preschool, kindergarten, and elementary classes.
Her current research and writing is in the field of early childhood
education. She has written
several works on early literacy such as Language and Literacy in Early
Childhood education, Literacy Development:
The Whole Language Approach, Language and Literacy Programs
in Early Childhood Education, Literacy Activities in a Play
