MEIPE & MEWT Tests

The MEIPE and MEWT exams are given only to conditionally admitted graduate students during the fall and spring international student orientation.   It is not necessary to call MEI to register for the exam.  Conditionally admitted graduate students should report directly to the testing site at the date and time specified for the exam.

You must bring a photo ID and a pencil to the exam.  Examinees who do not present a photo ID may not take the exam.   Examinees who arrive after the test begins will not be admitted into the testing room and may not take the exam.  Test-takers should be sure to have adequate parking during the exam, because they may not leave the testing room to feed parking meters.   

The admissions letter for conditionally admitted graduate students will note whether the student is required to take an English language exam.  Students who are not certain which exam they must take should contact Ms. Megan VanSon mvanson@umd.edu in the Graduate School.
