Short courses

MEI offers three short, part-time courses at various times during the year: American English Pronunciation, Dynamic Discussions, and Writing in American English.

These courses are from five to eight weeks long and meet twice per week for two hours each session. They are scheduled after 3 pm for the convenience of those who work and can not take a lot of time away from their jobs. Part-time courses are open to anyone in the UM community or the community at large, and there are no special admissions requirements. UM does not issue I-20s for part-time courses, and UM tuition remission can not be applied to these courses.
