Institute on Rehabilitation Issues
The Institute on Rehabilitation Issues (IRI) is sponsored by the U. S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services to develop training materials for state vocational rehabilitation personnel. The program is administered through universities. A group of 10-15 administrators, practitioners, and educators (a prime study group) are selected from national nominations. This group works toward common ground and jointly prepares a training document that is distributed nationally to state vocational rehabilitation personnel and presented at an annual IRI conference.
