Formatting Text - Again, Composer works like your basic word processing system. If you have text already typed onto the page you can highlight what you want to format and use the quick format tools shown below. If you want to pre-format your text, that is format what you want to type before you type, use the tools as shown below but you will not have anything to highlight before you do your formatting.

This
drop down box allows you to choose the type of text you want to be shown.
The various functions all look different and are used for different functions
with the Normal setting being a normal type face and the Headings being
larger point and bold settings.

This drop down box allows
you to choose from the available fonts that are stored on your computer.
***Note*** Not all fonts can be shown on web pages. To be safe, use only those fonts that you either know are on your audience's computers or use those fonts that are most common. |

This drop down box allows you to choose the size of the type you use. Most pages on the Internet will use Heading 1-6 shown above for any type that will be larger than regular type. |

This drop down box allows you to choose the color of the text you are inserting onto your web page. You can always change these settings at any time as well as have more than one or two or thirteen colors going at the same time. Be careful not to overwhelm your audience though. |

Bold, Italics, Underline - These shortcuts allow you to manipulate these three settings for your text . |

This shortcut will return the selected text to the normal settings. |

These shortcuts will allow you to start a new list or set text you have already created into lists. |

Blockquotes are useful settings for creating aligned text other then in the center of the page. These shortcuts allow you to set your blockquote settings, either by increasing or decreasing your indents. |

Text alignment settings allow you to make your text either left or right justified, or set in the center of the page. |
