The College of Health and Human Performance is once again sponsoring a three week summer sports activity/computer program. Children will participate Monday through Friday from 9:00-noon in a variety of physical activities as: soccer, softball, racquetball, basketball, lacrosse, swimming and many more age appropriate activities. If you sign uup for the morning program, you may sign up for the computer activity program for the afternoon as well as additional physical activities. YOU MAY NOT SIGN UP FOR ONLY THE AFTERNOON SESSION. The afternoon session is from noon-4:30 pm. It will be offered to the first 30 children registered.


Dates: June 22-July 10, 2009. We will be open on July 4, 2009, but there will be no before or after care.

You may sign up for one, two or all three weeks.


Children and youth: Age groups: 5-7 years old; 8-9 years old; 10-11 years old; 12-13 years old.


Fees: $95 for morning and $95 for afternoon or $190 per WEEK. (Children participating in both programs ($190) will bring a lunch and eat together with supervision between programs). The Maryland Girls soccer Camp has been established to give female soccer players the opportunity to work with women who have been successful throughout their careers at the local, regional, national, and international level as players and coaches. This camp is designed to teach the fundamentals and advanced instruction to both individuals and groups of girls grades 8-12. Campers will train under the direction of Terrapin Head Water Polo coach Carl Salyer, current collegiate and high school coaches. Individual instruction, evaluation, competition, and specialized techiques will be provided.

The University of Maryland facilities are among the finest in the country and include a 50 meter x 25 yard pool, all deep pool, and two wet/dry classrooms with video.
