Therapeutic day camp for children with emotional and/or behavioral disorders. Activities include swimming, sports, arts and crafts, rock climbing. Positive behavioral support programs are emphasized.
Dates: June 27-July 18, 2008
Children and youth: Boys and girls who have been identified by school or therapists as having a serious emotional or behavioral disorder.
Fees: Call for fee information; generous scholarships awarded based on need.

The Marriage and Family Therapy Program of the Family Studies Department provides therapy to families, couples, and individuals from the university and the metropolitan community. A variety of services are available which include: family therapy, couples therapy, individual therapy for relationship issues, and diverse therapy groups. Issues that might be addressed in therapy include: parenting concerns, children's school or home behavior problems, couple's communication struggles, and issues experienced by stepfamilies or single parents.
Dates: Open all year: Monday - Thursday 9am - 9pm. Some Saturday hours available.
Children and youth: Community and university families, couples, and individuals.
Fees: Sliding fee scale - $10.00 to $90.00 per session

The Language-Learning Early Advantage Program (LEAP) is an individualized communication enrichment preschool. The curriculum has a strong language-based focus and very small teacher-child ratio. Individual speech-language therapy is provided every school day for children with communication difficulties.The classroom curriculum and therapy are conducted by students in the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences under the supervision of a certified speech-language pathologist. Strong family involvement is encouraged.
Dates: June 2 - July 9, 2008 - 3 half days per week, M/W/F either morning
or afternoon. Fall 2008 & Spring 2008 semesters available
Children and youth: Ages 3 to 5, especially those with speech and/or language delays
Fees: $700 for the summer. Approximately $3100.00 for two semesters.
