The mission of the Region III Community Rehabilitation Providers Rehabilitation Continuing Education Program at the University of Maryland is to improve competitive employment outcomes for persons with significant disabilities. This is achieved by providing training and technical assistance to representatives of community rehabilitation, independent living, State VR, and the business communities from Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. Specific training and technical assistance needs are identified through regional and state advisory councils, focus groups, and needs assessments.

The target audience includes Community Rehabilitation personnel whose organizations provide services to individuals of State Vocational Rehabilitation agencies; other CRP and VR professionals; and independent living center staff, job seekers, employers, and advocates.
