ETS provides several things free of charge to the College of Education (CoE) for support of teaching. Likewise, we charge reduced rates to CoE for personal or funded research use.

For those outside of the college, but within the University of Maryland campus, we charge a slightly higher rate, and a little more for those not affiliated with the University at all.

In terms of labor charges, if we can teach you how to do something (e.g., digitize an image using a scanner in our lab), you only pay for those things you would normally be charged for, outside of labor. If we are asked to do the work (e.g., scanning several dozen photos for a presentation), there will be a labor charge assessed, regardless of the patron's affiliation. In either case, it is always recommended that you contact a member of our staff for an appointment. Exceptions to the above labor charges are for service calls relating to personal computers, classroom equipment, etc.
