The Division of IT (DIT, formerly OIT) is actively investigating options and recommendations for detection and removal of the most recent version of the Flashback trojan, which targets Mac web browsers through a Java vulnerability. Latest estimates are that approximately 1% worldwide have been compromised, so this is a narrow margin, and most Macs are not currently infected. This page will be updated as DIT provides additional recommendations, but for now, here are some sites with additional information:
