Admission Requirements for Graduate Students

General Graduate Requirements | Master's Requirements | Doctoral Requirements

Admission to Graduate Programs

The decision to admit an applicant to a graduate program is based on a combination of factors. Consideration is given to:

(a) previous undergraduate and graduate coursework;
(b) letters of recommendation;
(c) As of June 16, 2006, the GRE and MAT are no longer admission requirements for EDSP teacher certification programs only. All EDSP teacher certification recruits must take and passed Praxis I (at MD's cut off scores) exam and is the only test requirement upon entrance into the program. For all other master's students (those not seeking MD certification) the GRE or MAT is still required.
(d) statement of academic goals and research interests.
