Current Interests:

William Drakeford is currently an Assistant Professor and Project Associate for the National Center on Education, Disability, and Juvenile Justice (EDJJ) at the University of Maryland in the Department of Special Education. Dr. Drakeford has monitored and evaluated numerous education/literacy programs in juvenile and adult correctional facilities around the country. Prior to joining EDJJ, Dr. Drakeford worked as a counselor for Pre-College Programs Upward Bound at UMCP, and as a classroom teacher for students with behavioral disorders in Newark, New Jersey.
