L. Corbin M. Campbell,Doctoral Student 
Corbin is a second year doctoral student in the Higher Education Program at the University of Maryland College Park. She currently serves as a Graduate Assistant in the Office of Institutional Research, Planning, and Assessment. Her primary research interest is on gender issues and leadership in higher education with a specific focus on women college presidents. Other research interests include academic administration, learning outcomes and assessment, and alcohol abuse and recovery on college campuses.
Prior to studying at Maryland, Corbin worked as the Community Education Specialist at the Crisis Line of Central Virginia’s Sexual Assault Response Program and at The George Washington University as the Assistant Director of Housing Programs. She has prior experience in assessment, wellness, institutional policy review, crisis management, sexual assault advocacy, residential curriculum development, and professional staff and faculty supervision.
Corbin is originally from the Washington DC Metropolitan area. She received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia, and a Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs from The Ohio State University. She enjoys fly fishing, football, skiing, time with her husband, and supporting other women aspiring to be leaders in higher education.
