Dr. Patricia Alexander received the Sylvia Scribner award from Division C (Learning and Instruction) of the American Educational Research Association (AERA), 03/13/08
Dr. Alexander received this award at this year's AERA meeting in New York, and the award was presented on Friday March 28 at 8:15pm in the Mercury Ballroom of the Hilton. This award is given to an individual whose program of work has significantly influenced our understanding of learning and instruction, and advanced the field in major ways. At the award ceremony Dr. Alexander presented an address entitled "The Journey Toward Expertise".
