Catalyst, the nonprofit research and advisory organization working to advance women in business, has publications to help you build your career. Of special note is their 1999 study, Women Scientists in Industry (60 pages, $45). This study identifies factors in the corporate culture that contribute to or impede the career advancement of women scientists.
