New MCERT Students

Summer classes will end on August 7 and teaching internships will begin on Monday August 18 or Tuesday August 19 (depending on the district calendar)

 

Brown Bag Sessions with Dr. Snell

Wed, July 9, July 23 and August 6 for Secondary students

Wed, July 16 for Elementary Students

All Brown Bag Sessions will take place from 12:00 to 1:00pm in Building III, Room 3240 at Shady Grove Campus

 

IMCP Orientation

August 21, from 5:00 to 7:00pm in Benjamin 0220. Pizza will be served.

Priority Deadline

Early applications will be reviewed as of December 1, 2008.

Final Deadline

Final deadline for applications including all supporting documents is

In just one year, you can earn a master’s degree and become certified to teach in elementary or secondary schools. 

 

Take advantage of the University of Maryland, College of Education’s Masters Certification (MCERT) program and expand your potential!

 

 

 

Our Program:

The program is organized around four core themes:

  • Building democratic learning communities

Our intensive, one-year program features:

 

  • Selected paid internships for secondary education program
  • In-state tuition rates for non-residents
  • Integration of coursework and field experiences
  • Teaching placements in Montgomery County, Prince George’s County and Howard County
