In 2005, I got my Master's degree in educational psychology from National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan. In my two-year graduate school period, my research interest was focused on individual cognitive processes when assessing i Internet information. After graduation, I worked for three years in a national research institute, which aims to create multi-purpose databases for universities in Taiwan by collecting data from different institutions, students, and faculty through web-based surveys. Now, I am so happy to be here pursuing my Ph.D. in the EDMS family here at UMCP. I totally love it here!

B.A. (Computer Science, Messiah College, 2005)
M.A. (Quantitative Research, Evaluation, and Measurement in Education, The Ohio State University, 2009)

Originally from Orrville, OH, I am excited to begin my Ph.D. working with Dr. Lissitiz as a graduate assistant in the Maryland Assessment Center for Education Research. Prior to obtaining my MA, I was an Academic Advisor for the Upward Bound Program at Ohio State University-ATI. As a first-generation college graduate, I am very interested in the evaluation programs like Upward Bound that help prepare students for post-secondary education, as well as value-added modeling, and the implications of statistical measurement in effecting educational policy. I look forward to many great research experiences in several areas that will provide me the tools to help make a difference in education.
