The CRP/RRCEP is pleased to announce a one-credit
Internet-based distance education course
"Promoting Employment for People with Psychiatric Disabilities".Summer Session II at UMD
"Promoting Employment for People with Psychiatric Disabilities" is a six-week course, designed to provide participants with fundamental information on basic concepts, issues, and strategies for assisting people with psychiatric disabilities to choose, get, and keep quality jobs in the community. It focuses on interactive learning from other participants as well as through a variety of web-based modalities such as chat rooms, listserv, email, etc. The instructor is Dr. Ellen Fabian, an Associate Professor in CAPS who has extensive background and experience in the area.
The entire course is conducted over the Internet. ALL coursework is completed using text, links, listserv, and email. All lessons are asynchronous. Participants log onto the computer at anytime, view the course content and complete assignments.
