An Overview of the Regional Rehabilitation Continuing Education Program for Community Rehabilitation Providers (CRP/RRCEP)
Federal Region III
WHAT IS IT?
The CRP/RRCEP is a training and technical assistance project which operates within a collaborative structure. It is steered by a Regional Advisory Council which consists of state vocational rehabilitation, community rehabilitation, independent living, and business representatives from Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia. The Council provides input and direction related to project activities and implementation.
Each year the CRP/RRCEP provides training and technical assistance to rehabilitation personnel through regional collaboration efforts and customer responsive training.
MISSION
The CRP/RRCEP mission is to assist CRP personnel in acquiring the skills and information to improve competitive employment outcomes for persons with disabilities. Its primary constituents are:
- CRP personnel whose organizations provide service to job seekers of state vocational rehabilitation agencies,
- Other CRP and VR agencies
- Independent living center, job seekers, employers, and volunteers
The Center of Human Services Development is certified to award continuing education credits approved by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) which are nationally recognized standard units of measurement for satisfactory completion of qualified programs for continuing education.
