This site is actually intended for secondary education teachers.  As an elementary school teaching canadate, I would not use this site but if I was a Social studies teacher in secondary school I would use this site.  The reason why I would is because it is a fantastic site.  The links are easy to follow to various different topics.  The topics include:  Lesson Plans and Teaching Strategies,Online Activities,Teaching Current Events, Other Social Studies Resources, National Council for the Social Studies, Newsgroups and Mailing Lists, Social Studies School Service, Educational Standards and Curriculum Frameworks, and a section on What's New This Month.  I really liked the site because it is updated regularly and was not made and left.  Plus the site has won various awards in teaching, and awards for educational web sites.
