Sunday, May 21, 2017
The University of Maryland Main Commencement Ceremony will take place at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2017, at the Xfinity Center.
Monday, May 22, 2017
The College of Education will host two commencement events: a reception for graduate, friends and family at 1 p.m. May 22, 2017, with commencement to follow at 4 p.m. May 22, 2017, at the Reckord Armory. Students who have completed their bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees, and the Advanced Graduate Specialist Certificate, are invited to participate in the graduation ceremony. Tickets for family and friends are not required for the College of Education ceremony. Guests must arrive by 3:30 p.m. to ensure seating before the processional.
If you plan to attend our Commencement Ceremony but have not yet responded, please do as soon as possible by contacting Judy Foster at email@example.com to be added to the list of attendees.
College of Education undergraduate and graduate candidates are to assemble on the lower level of the Armory. Graduates should wear their academic regalia and must line up in the designated area in order to receive name cards.
Graduates, led by faculty marshals, process to the concert hall floor for the ceremony.
