The College receives a number of grants. Center for Human Resources Development receives a major grant to work with persons with disabilities. Ellen Fabian and David B. Hershenson, Counseling and Personnel Services, are awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Education to study rehabilitation long-term training. Joan Ann Lieber, Special Education, receives a Syracuse University grant for the Consortium for Collaborative Research on Social Relationships.

Patricia Campbell, Department of Curriculum and Instruction, is elected to the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) board of directors.
